After spending 4 years developing CakePHP into the most popular PHP framework, he set out with a few other CakePHP alumni to create the next generation web framework: Lithium. While not beautifying APIs, Nate is often found snowboarding, playing guitar, being a beach bum, or writing about himself in the third person.

Guilherme Blanco was born in 09/19/1983 and lives in Brazil. He has a bachelors degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of São Carlos and works in the web development industry. He is currently employed by Yahoo! and works on Meme team: http://meme.yahoo.com. He has worked with Java, .NET and the majority of server/client side languages and decided to pick PHP as his default development language. He spends most of his efforts working on Open Source projects, mainly in Doctrine Persistence Layer for PHP, which he is a contributor since 2007. Robert Lemke

Robert Lemke is the lead developer of TYPO3 Phoenix and founding developer of the FLOW3 application framework. He is passionate about clean code and found his personal mission in bringing successful development and architecture techniques from other programming languages to the PHP world. Robert works full-time for the non-profit TYPO3 Association and lives in Lübeck, Germany, together with his wife, his daughters and Vibiemme, their espresso machine.

Within the T3 Community he is considered an expert on Core Module subjects such as TemplaVoilá, as well as Language Fallbacks, Visibility and MVC. He is a skillful hand at developing clean solutions with a particular love of elegant, easily maintained and reusable coding. Daniel is always open to new projects and development methods, such as Agile Software development. Over the last few years since joining AOE media, Daniel has played "midwife" to more than 60 Enterprise CMS-Projects for such renowned clients as congstar, Cisco WebEx and VMware: taking care of client requirements, directing the development and installing the finished result.

 

Derick Rethans

Derick Rethans has contributed in a number of ways to the PHP project, including the Xdebug debugging tool, the mcrypt, date and input-filter extensions, bug fixes, additions and leading the QA team. He's a frequent lecturer at conferences, the author of php|architect's Guide to Date and Time Programming, and the co-author of PHP 5 Power Programming. Derick works as an independent contractor doing various PHP related jobs while focussing on internals and extensions. In his spare time he likes to travel, hike, ski and practise photography. Wil Sinclair, a self-confessed former Cloud Zealot, is Makara's Cloud Evangelist extraordinaire. When not thinking about the cloud, he works on technologies that facilitate and encourage cloud adoption in the PHP community. His Simple Cloud API enables "cloud native" applications that can be deployed on all major clouds. He brings 10 years of experience in the software industry at companies from the smallest of startups to large multinationals such as Oracle and Amazon. Most recently he served as project lead on the leading PHP framework: Zend Framework.

Dana Stoll has got a long-time experience as Technical Director, later on as Principal Business Analyst for web.de AG (Combots AG/Kizoo AG). Currently, she is Consulting Senior Analyst for Deutsche Telekom AG. Here, she is in charge of daily Scrum meetings and is supervising the interim management of software-ports and the development of Data-Quality-Analysis and -Modelling, amongst others. Ulf Wendel is working for MySQL since 2004, he picked up first experiences in MySQL back in 1997. His current position in the Connectors Team is reflecting his actual background in web-development with PHP and MySQL. Right now he is working on drivers for PHP, C++ and OpenOffice. Ulf is accompanying the International PHP Conference since 2000 with sessions and workshops. And in 2009 he was touring all around the german PHP usergroups in the name of "MySQL PHP BBQ Tour".
