Why a RailsWay Conference Europe?
With the first publication of our new RailsWay Magazin (www.railsway.de) in December 2008, we have announced a conference - at that time assuming that the European market is ready for two conferences on Rails.
In the meanwhile, it has become obvious, that the RailsWay Conference Europe will be the only European conference this year as the traditional RailsConf has backed out from the European market leaving a gap in the event calendar of the European Rails community.
The RailsWay Conference Europe will focus on cutting edge technologies of the Ruby on Rails world as well as on basics for beginners and best practices for real professional use.
Program Chairs
- Michael Johann (Editor in Chief RailsWay Magazine, Münster/Germany)
- Sebastian Meyen (Chief Content Officer, S&S Media, Frankfurt am Main/Germany)
Advisory Board:
- Ola Bini (ThoughtWorks, Stockholm/Sweden)
- Mathias Meyer (Freelancer, Berlin/Germany)
- Stefan Tilkov (InnoQ, Ratingen/Germany)
Who are we?
We are the brains behind the world-wide first magazine on Rails, which is available on the newsstand since December 2008 (yeah, print's not dead!).
Furthermore, we publish different technical magazines for software developers and architects, and we organise various conferences such as JAX, BASTA! and webinale. BTW: our JAX conference includes Ruby on Rails topics for quite a while already, besides Java, SOA and Open Source topics.
